About Us

'Your Mum's Face Independent Films LTD' was started by Dominic Bradley in order to produce his feature film 'Bitches'.

Dominic has always been a prolific storyteller, from telling a nurse at a child care centre that his dad broke his fractured wrist by throwing him out of the window to winning first prize in two consecutive years for his short stories in The London Oratory School Literary Competition, judged by Zoe Williams, a regular Contributor to the 'Guardian Weekend Magazine'. At the age of 15 he wrote his first feature length screenplay 'Frequently Strong Violence' and was concerned with bank robbers pulling off a daring day light heist, 'Reservoir Dogs' style but with a very strong female lead running through it.

'Your Mum's Face Independent Films' came about by the type of films that Dom is interested in making, films that will shock the look on your mum's face, like 'Trainspotting', 'Reservoir Dogs', 'True Romance or 'Battle Royale'.

British film today is far too safe, too happy, too middle-of-the-road and far too sappy. 'Safe, geriatric, coffee-table dog shit', as Clarence from 'True Romance' would have no doubt stated. However all is not lost as he does see glimmers of hope, such as 'The Descent', an all-girl caving trip that goes horribly wrong by British Director 'Neil Marshall', helmer of cool British (debut) 'Dog Soldiers'.

Dominic is looking for people like him, film geeky, passionate and in awe of film in order to bring 'cool', 'cult', 'humorous' and 'exploitative' film to British cinema screens for people like him to watch. They have just released an 'Ant & Dec' movie for heaven's sake, what chance is there left for people that are looking for genuinely alternative films.

'Your Mum's Face' currently has three films in pre-production and are looking to add another two to the slate. Aside from 'Bitches', we are also working on 'Sheba' and 'Frequently Strong Violence'  concerned with bank robbers pulling off a daring day light heist, 'Reservoir Dogs' style but with a very strong female lead running through it.
